Why Rush Phi Delta Epsilon?

Sara Ziaja, Freshman

“I rushed PhiDE because I wanted to immerse myself in a community of like-minded individuals that I could learn from and grow with. There’s always something we can learn from each other. My favorite PhiDE memory is the new member meeting socials, which were always fun!”

Sophia Azim, Sophomore

“I wanted to find a community of premeds where I would not only get support academically and professionally, but also personally. I heard that the people who are in PhiDE offer help to others without hesitation and do their best to help their peers succeed. I felt that being around people so driven and motivated, yet kind and compassionate would mold me into a successful future physician. I have formed some of my closest friendships with the people I’ve met through PhiDE. It showed me that one can be at their best professional and academic level while also having fun.”

Kassidy Brady, Junior

“I came from a small town with very few people who I could consult for premed information. PhiDE was able to offer me a fountain of resources and a community of support. After watching so many older members succeed in the medical journey, I gained the confidence that I am also capable to do so.”

Jennifer Mondragon, Freshman

“I rushed PhiDE to meet new people who are also on the same path as me. I joined to network and hear advice from other pre-med students. Now that I am in PhiDE, not only is there networking and advice that I am gaining from it, but I met a supportive group. I am definitely more excited for my first semester as an active. What you put in is what you get in return!!”

Stella Emezue, Junior

“I rushed PhiDE because I was looking for a community of people who are striving towards the same goal as me. Being a first generation college student, navigating college is hard enough, and it becomes almost impossible trying to navigate the pre-med world and balance everything out. I was seeking a support system and lifelong friends who all have the same vision and are on similar paths as me. I feel like with this community, growth, and success is bound to happen for us all. The biggest takeaway that I have taken from PhiDE is that I am not alone. There are many other people struggling with the same things as me, and I have a community of people to fall back on when I need help. This is all about the journey, and not the destination, so if I take everything one step at a time and use the resources around me, I will make it to the end!”

Ananya Singh, Junior

“I rushed PhiDE to meet other pre-med students and find a community of people with goals and values that I shared. Leaning into your community and investing in relationships with the people around you makes the pre-med experience so much easier to go through. I love being a part of such an uplifting and supportive group of people who understand how difficult this journey is and are all willing to support each other along the way. Taking the time to build these relationships is so beneficial because we all have so much to offer each other.”
